Finally, after what has been a frenetic period of site reconnaissance and lengthy discussions, having carefully considered several potential sites around the capital,Bushy’s have finally secured a move to the
VILLA MARINA GARDENS. The opportunity to move into the Villa gardens is a golden one for the local brewing company who have been providing outside entertainment during the TT festival for the last 20 years.
Local Ska stalwarts Buncha Skankers TT17
Martin Brunnschweiler and his team have exciting plans for TT 2018 with everything being bigger and better for locals and visitors alike. Bushy’s now have the opportunity to expand their capacity open air and under cover with the help of A3 Marquees who have supplied and aided Bushy’s from day one. Also continuing their support is Justin McMullin’s ELS team who will be supplying a bigger stage and have recently invested in the very latest specialist concert equipment exclusive to the Island. Lenny Conroy, of Triskel Promotions who is also on board having provided the stage entertainment for the last 17 years, remarked that “ the blank canvas offers limitless opportunities with live entertainment. My remit is simple, fill it ! ”. The usual lengthy list of local contractors and suppliers with their expertise will be called upon yet again to ensure only the best for Bushys.
The largest bar on the Island? The biggest bar crew….bar none. TT BAR CREW 2017
Bushy’s Site Manager, Harry Barbour with his expert team will be putting together the largest bar crew for perhaps the largest bar the Island has ever seen in what Bushy’s feel confident will be their finest year. Martin Brunnschweiler stated “ Celebrating 21 years of entertaining at the TT,we are coming of age!”
Rob Callister MHK, Member of the Department of Economic Development with responsibility for Motorsport and the Villa Gaiety complex commented:
‘We have been working with Bushy’s regarding their plans to hire the Villa Marina Gardens for TT 2018 which they have now secured. As the Island’s premier entertainment venue, the Villa Gaiety already plays a central role in providing entertainment during the TT festival. The Bushy’s proposal is an exciting one and we are looking forward to seeing how the project takes shape over coming months.
‘The Villa Gaiety is an ideal venue for large scale events and hosts a number of high profile events in the theatre, function rooms and outside spaces. The Villa Gaiety is already well into its programming for 2018, including during the TT festival period, and will be looking to build on recent achievements in securing top live entertainment, to provide a wide range of music, comedy and live events for residents and visitors to enjoy. The Villa Gaiety is always open for private hire with established rate cards available to potential hirers.’
